Let us muse again today from Matt and 9:9 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our next today we find the calling of Matthew the author of the gospel we are studying. He is sitting at the receipt of customs collecting taxes when Jesus call for him to follow Him. When a tax collector he was called Levi and now Jesus calls him Matthew which means gift of Jehovah. He arose immediately and followed the Lord. That call was so powerful that he who had always been a taker became a giving gift to all who read the gospel according to Matthew. Oh Lord let me be sensitive to that life changing Voice.
