Let us muse again today from Habakkuk 1:4 and a section I have entitled the prophet’s anxiety. We look yesterday at verses 1-3 and the cry of anxiety. Today I turned to verse four and the cause of anxiety. We find in this verse that the law was never carried out and thus justice never prevail. The wicked was ruling over the righteous and God was not in any part of man’s thought process. Exodus 23:6-8 warns for us to be careful of perverting the law. It also warns those in the law of taking a gift to turn a blind towards lawbreakers. Oh how our nation is being built on such practices.
