The Prophet’s Anxiety

Let us begin to muse today from Habakkuk 1:1-11 and a section I have entitled the prophet’s  anxiety. I noticed in this text Habakkuk  is anxious over what he sees. In verses 2-3 Habakkuk uses words like burden, violence, grievance, spoiling, and contention to describe what he sees. What he sees turns into a prayer which is a cry of desperation in verse two. There are two different words translated cry. One is a simple request for help and the second is a loud scream of desperation. The psalmist used the word O to describe this scream of desperation. Has the Lord put an O in your prayer lately?
