Let us muse today from Habakkuk 2:3 and a section I have entitled the prophet’s awaiting. In this section we find one of God’s assignments to Habakkuk is to write the word. It is this written word in 2:3 that the person of the writing is mentioned. Habakkuk says though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. The it mentioned here is certainly a reference to a person. As in many Old Testament books the coming of Christ lies dormant in the womb of time only to be seen afterwards of us who are closer to the time of His coming. There are various theories about the end times but one thing is held as certain by most of these theories and it is that He will not tarry but when the time is appointed of the Father He will come. Are you looking for him today?
