Musing Through Matthew-Spiritual Defilement

Let us muse again today from  Matthew 15:17 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our study for today we find some thoughts  on spiritual defilement. How often do  we consider outward things that are   done and their affect upon the spirit of a person. Our Lord clears that up when He says they are like food that passes through the mouth, stomach, and out the bowels of the person. They have no affect  on the mental and spiritual part of a person. It is  so with many of the things done on the outward man that we find so loudly harped upon  at the church house. They have no effect on the spiritual defilement of an individual. The Lord says He looks on the inward man and not the outward man.
