Let us muse again today from Matthew 15:12 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text today we find offended defined. The Pharisees apparently had made friends with the disciples and the disciples come to Jesus and told Him did you know the Pharisees were offended by what you said? Our Lord had purposely said what He did to see if it would offend them. It had unmasked them for what they really were. When tempted to deal sympathetically with offended people remember Psalms 119:165 great peace have they which love thy law; and nothing shall offend them. People who are offended show their lack of love for the Word of God.
