Let us muse again today from Matthew 14:8 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text of study for today we find wicked women exposed. We find a statement in this verse that the demands for the head of John the Baptist was not a last-minute thought but a pre-meditated act. The statement I speak of is she being instructed of her mother, tells us these wicked women plan this from the start. Herodias was more exposed in character by John the Baptist revealing that she was an adulteress than was Herod. It is often the woman who is greatly offended because she knows she plotted for the affair to happen, she could have said NO. Instead of repenting she will once for all quiet the voice of the messenger.
