Musing Through Matthew- Lust And Wine Cloud The Mind

Let us muse again today from Matthew 14:7 and the theme of Jesus the King. We see today some admonition on the subject of lust and wine cloud the mind. Herod made a foolish fill-in the blank promise to a silly young girl because his mind was clouded by wind and lust of her dance. It cost a precious man of God his head. This is another strike against  there being any value in drinking of alcohol. Proverbs 31:4-5 forbids it for kings. In the book of Revelation we are told that God’s people have been made kings and priest.
