Musing Through Matthew- The Mustard Seed

Let us muse again today from Matthew 13:31-32 and the theme of Jesus the king. Our study for today we find the parable of the mustard seed. It is the smallest of all the seeds  by the world’s standard. The world would see this seed as too small an unimportant. A man’s seed 1/200th of centimeter. God in the person of Christ housed Himself in 1/200th of a centimeter and was placed in a virgin’s womb. It is so for the one who experiences the new birth, Christ is birth inside of us and by the world standard is small an unimportant. He will grow inside of us into a mighty tree so says the parable and others can come to find shelter and help by this mighty tree. Lord we have seen enough mustard seed, speed up the growth of the seed that we might see more mighty trees in these last hours.
