Let us muse again today from Matthew 9: 13 and the theme of Jesus the King. Our Lord quotes here from Hosea 6:6 to the Pharisee telling them He would rather see them showing mercy than all their ceremonial rituals. His next words might have been a shock to a group of religious people who always thought they were right when He issued to them a call to repentance. He said I have not come to folks who think they are right but to call sinners to repent which means to turn or a hundred and 80° turn from sin. Lord, may their always be upon my life a strong Spirit of repentance and of keeping short accounts with You.
