Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:21-22 the theme of Jesus the King. In our text for today we see a me first mentality. When I first meditated on these verses some time ago I was amazed that our Lord was against a follower going back and burying their dead dad. When I took a closer look it was not that He was against burying dead dads but He is strongly against a me first mentality. The man said suffer me first to go and bury my father. Our Lord will never allow anyone or anything to take His place as the most important.
