Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:14 and the theme of Jesus the King. I have learned several things in this text about Peter’s feverish mother-in-law. One thing I see is to remind the Catholic Church that their first pope had a wife. Our Lord was not fearful of a fever but His first move when entering the house was to look her way. Let us be reminded that in our time of sickness either personally or with those of our family He sees our plight. This is our only hope for any recovery if He would only look our way.
