Musing Through Matthew- A Side Road Taken

Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:11-12 and the theme of Jesus King. It seems from our text our Lord takes a side road. He speaks of many coming from the east and the west to sit with the spiritual fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in heaven, while others fill the courts of hell. I believe He is telling us  here that heaven will be filled with old rough Roman soldier from the world while hell is filled with the religious folks from the church. Heaven will be filled with the bowing harlots while hell will be filled with the upright religious Pharisee. Oh let us forsake any signs of religion and leaned upon Christ alone.
