Musing Through Matthew-Humility At Its Highest

Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:4 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our text for today we find humility at its highest displayed in the life of Jesus. He tells the leper to tell no one of his cleansing. Why? Our Lord was not interested in fame, swelling the crowds, but only in being a useful servant. His humility was also shown in telling him to go to the priest for a bill of cleansing. The law and its regulations had not yet been completely fulfilled in Christ and so He continued to humbled Himself under the law. It was so at a later date Pilate would say three times of Christ I find no fault in this man.
