Let us muse again today from Matthew 6:13 and the theme of Jesus the King. This model prayer began by lifting up the Father and His name. The prayer ends with a doxology of praise to the Father. The prayer of doxology attributes ownership of all to the Father in the phrase Thine is the kingdom. The word power speaks of all authority to rule over all that He owns. The glory speaks of the adoration which is the least we can give to the King. We are reminded that He has held this position, He is holding this position, and He shall hold this position for ever as the ruling King of all. The only fitting end for such a prayer is amen, I wholeheartedly agree.
