Let us muse again today from Matt 6:13 and the theme of Jesus the King. It is here our King deals with the subject of temptation and evil. We’re reminded today of the temptation of our King Jesus when the Bible says He was led of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil 40 days and 4o nights. We see right away that temptation is under the providence of God’s sovereign control. Our request must be not to be led into temptation by which we would succumb to the temptation and then fall into evil. I would certainly rather be in a temptation with Him than out of temptation and without Him.
