Musing Through Matthew-Take Care Of Your Self

Let us muse again today from Matthew 4:3 and the theme of Jesus the King. I see in our text the aim of Satan’s temptation was Jesus’ weakness of hunger. He uses the words if you are the Son of God. He is asking Him to prove His Son ship by taking care of Himself. It is very dangerous for us to usurp the authority over the Father and seek to take care of ourselves. Let us wait for His provision which will be much better and satisfy us in a greater fashion. Satan’s cry is always for us to save ourselves. Many have bought into saving the earth by taking care of our planet. Let us be careful in thinking what we do will save us for a day longer than has been planned by the heavenly Father.
