Let us muse again today from Matthew 3:10 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our text today we are confronted with the ax of judgment. God will cut down the tree and throw it in the fire if it bears not the fruit of repentance. If it is not fit for fruit it will make good fuel. Let us be soberly aware that a lack of fruit in our lives could be as fatal as the presence of corrupt fruit. Be careful today if all you have is the greenery of religion and not the fruits of repentance and salvation coupled with an intimate relationship with Christ.
