Let us muse again today from Matthew 2:16 and the theme of Jesus the King. We are confronted in our text with Herod’s killing of babies two years old and under. This is the second time in biblical history that there is a wholesale killing of little ones. Pharaoh ordered it when Moses came because God was announcing the deliverer was coming. Now Herod repeats this killing and once again God is announcing a deliverer is coming. Instead of trying to abolish abortion or overthrow Roe versus Wade let us announce to the world a deliverer is coming.
