Let us muse again today from Matthew 2:11 and the theme of Jesus King. Today I draw our attention to the treasures themselves, gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Oh how the gold would speak of the baby as being deity and the King of Kings. Frankincense would speak of Him as the great high priest and the smoke of incense arising in worship to Him. The myrrh would speak of His death as Savior dying for the sins of His people. He is King, Priest, and Savior. No wonder they call Him the Lord Jesus Christ.
