Let us muse again today from Matthew 2:4-6 and the theme of Jesus the King. We find in our text a political leader and the religious leaders searched the Scriptures but were none the better. Herod makes inquiry about where this King of the Jews was to be born. The religious leaders brought back an answer from Micah 5:2, Genesis 49:10, and John 7:42, that Christ would be born in Bethlehem the city of David. Oh how many today have searched and they know the Scriptures well yet do not know the author of the Scriptures in an intimate and personal way.
