Let us begin to muse from John 3:1-3 and the gospel of the new birth. In our text a very religious man by the name of Nicodemus comes to Jesus to question Him in verse two on whether He is the God-man. Our Lord never answers his question but instead tells him unless he is born again he will never see the kingdom of God. The phrase born-again is better understood when the phrase is studied in the original languages. The phrase speaks not of an earthly birth after the conception between a male and female but the phrase means being born from above. It is the creation or spiritual birth that is conceived in another world causes a new creation or spiritual birth in this world.
