A Masked Faith

Let us muse again today from Isaiah 53:1 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. Our text speaks of a masked faith and that it is masked to discovery. Our text says the only ones who believe is those to whom God reveals Himself. Many teach today that our believing causes regeneration. This is certainly not the teaching of the Bible. It is hard to get a dead man to do anything, let alone believe. Regeneration is the quickening of man from the dead and believing is caused by  regeneration and not vice versa. I never knew I was dead and trespass in sin until the Lord raise me from the dead. I never knew I was blind until He gave me sight. I never knew I was lost until He found me. I never knew I could not hear spiritually until he had given me ears to hear. To Him be all glory,  surely I can say with the prophet, salvation is all of the Lord.
