The Position Of Rest

Let us muse again today from Isaiah 6 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. We are looking at the vision Isaiah of the Lord high and lifted up sitting up on the throne. I draw our attention today to the position of rest. In Revelation 1: 11 John said when he saw Him on His throne He had a golden girdle around His paps. The Middle Eastern man only pulled the girdle up at night fall when his work was done. Paul said in Ephesians 2:6 we have been made to sit with Him in heavenly places. For the child of God our position of rest is found in the God who sits as sovereign sitting in a position of having finished His work.
