Let us muse today from Isaiah 5:5 and the theme Isaiah’s Christ. We are looking today at the chastening of the vineyard in general. I noticed in our text that part of the chastening involves the removal of the hedge of protection. I fear the embracing of our nation of so many things that God says are wrong such as gay rights and the killing of the unborn is caused God to lift his hedge of grace and the enemy has come in like a flood upon us. In verse six He says He will lay it waste. It is clear our country is on the brink of bankruptcy. May the church lift their heads unto the hills from whence comes our help. We are not without hope but our hope is just not in this world.
