A Baffling Stone

Let us muse today from I Peter 2:8 Peter’s precious pictures and the precious church stone. Today look with me at the fact that Jesus can become a baffling stone. Peter tells us if He is not believed on and trusted in with the whole heart He will become a stone of stumbling. The word stumbling means to stub the foot, trip up and fall, which causes great humiliation. The phrase rock of offense means a snare trap wired for wild animals. This stone which is so precious to those who believe if ignored and not believed in with the whole heart can become a very dangerous stone. The stone can roll into your life and causes damages that cannot be repaired if you were to live 10 million years upon this earth .
