Let us muse today from II Peter 1:4-10 and Peter’s precious pictures about the precious promises. In verse 4a Peter gives us some descriptions of this promise. He tells us that it is an exceeding great and precious promise. The word promise means an announcement that comes near giving one rest in their soul. The word precious means rare, valuable beyond calculation. The words exceeding great means the greatest of all and most important of the promises. Peter says the promise I am fixing to share is valuable beyond calculation, it will come alongside and give you rest, and it is the most important of all God’s promise. Peter says if you have this one you have all the promises.
