Let us muse again today from I Peter 1:7 and Peter’s precious pictures and precious trials. I would turn our attention to the thought of an experience with trials will uncover the avenue in all trials. Peter compares our trials in their avenues to gold being tried in fire. Old timey goldsmiths would melt down to a liquid their gold in a crucible. He would heat it red-hot scrape all the debris that bubbled to the top. He would not stop until he saw his reflection in the gold. Our Lord will continue to bring us into the furnace of trials which empties us of ourselves, He will conclude when He sees His reflection in us.
