Let us muse again today from Isaiah 28:16 were we are using the word precious to look at some past precious pictures. In our text we are reminded of a precious stone. Our text says and the Lord said which is a powerful statement. Our God has laid in Zion a precious foundation stone. The city of Zion is a title used to describe the city of Jerusalem as well as the church triumphant. The text tells us they were both built and spoken into existence founded on Christ the precious stone. The word universe which God spake into existence is made up of two words. One word uni which is one and verse which is a short phrase. He spake the world into existence with one short phrase which was and the Lord said let there be.
