Let us muse again today from John 18:13-16 and Peter’s perception problem. We are looking in these days at Peter’s lowly denial and the standing of denial. I lay before us today the standing of welcome. When they arrived at the door of the trial John was known and welcomed in but Peter was left outside an unwelcome. The word known in verse 15 means to know well and to speak well of. John was highly respected among those who did not believe as he did but Peter was unwelcome. Oh how sight living does nothing in transforming us into the likeness of Christ.
