Peter’s Lack Of Dependability

Let us begin today to muse from Luke 22:31-34 and Peters perception problem. In our text today we find Peters lack of dependability. It is in this study we see one who lives with Christ but walks by sight and not faith. Today I turn our thoughts to verse 31 and a warning about sifting. I thought it is interesting our Lord says Simon, Simon behold Satan has desired to have you. When our Lord calls our name twice it is not usually because we have done something good. The word Simon means listen and behold means to look. He literally said listen, listen, and then look. Let us live by faith and it only comes by listening to His word and looking to Him for direction.
