Peter’s Perception Problem

I want to muse for the next several weeks on the subject of Peter’s perception problem. It is not my intentions to hammer on Peter but for us to see even one as close as Peter to Christ can magnify what it is to walk by sight and not by faith. Let us begin today in Matthew 14:25-28 when Jesus came walking to the them on the water. When they see Him walking on the water verse 26 says they were troubled. The word means terrified. They said it is Casper or a ghost and screamed out in fear. After all of the phenomenal spiritual things they have experience with Him they immediately on this occasion turned to mystics occult thoughts. May we be so familiar with Him that we would know Him even in the dark.
