Love’s Eternal Quip

Let us muse today from I Corinthians 13:8  and love’s eternal quip. We are reminded here that love will never fail. It is eternal love for God is love. I am reminded of the songwriter who said: the love of God is greater far than ink or pen can ever tell. It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell. The guilty pair bound down with care God gave his Son to win. His erring child he reconciled and pardon from his sin. Could with ink the ocean fill and where the skies of parchment made, where every stake on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade, to write the  love of God above would drain the ocean dry, nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky. O love of God how rich and pure how measureless and strong, it shall forever more endure the saints and angels song. Can we imagine today that this love has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost?
