Love’s Sufficient Quips

Let us begin today to muse from I Corinthians 13: 8 and love’s sufficient quip. The word quip means a saying that bears witnesses to a subject. Paul mentioned three things the church has leaned upon for confidence. One is prophecies which means the proclamation of truth and he says it will fail. The word tongues is the ability to communicate effectually and it will cease. Knowledge which deals with the understanding will vanish away, but the love of God shed abroad in the heart of the believer by the Holy Ghost will last forever.
