Love Subdues Evil

Let us muse today from I Corinthians 13:5b and the sufficiency of Christ’s love. I am looking at love’s sufficient qualities. Today we look at the last of the outward qualities in the thought of love subdues evil. This love is never exasperated. It is hard to get on its last nerve. It has a high threshold of a boiling point. It refuses to climb up on the handle and fly off. It thinks no evil and never contemplates revenge or getting even. It does not hold grudges which often becomes the root of bitterness. It is not jealous or suspicious of another. It draws a veil over the faults of another and seeks to forget them. It has no ill opinions of others. This is the love of God which is shed abroad in the heart of the believer by the Holy Ghost.
