Love Suppresses Envy

Let us muse today from I Corinthians 13:4 and the sufficiency of Christ love. We are looking in these days at love’s sufficient qualities. I see in our text that love suppresses envy. It is not grieved at the gifts, honor, and successes of others. It never wishes ill on another but rejoices in the success of a neighbor or even those who have despitefully used us. Love does not keep a record of the wrongs done by another to us.This is the love of Christ shed abroad in the heart of the believer by the Holy Ghost.
