Let us muse today from Malachi 3: 8 and a section I have entitled the Lord’s arrival. In our text today we find the ordinance they had disobeyed. It was the command to tithe. Let us be careful with the Old Testament thought of the tithe which is that of giving God a little while keeping most for yourself. If I was in a relationship where I did all the work for 10% and you get 90% of the income I would say hold on let us renegotiate. Let us say as a few who have gone before us whom God has richly blessed let us keep a little for ourself and give most of it away.
