Let us muse today from the book of Malachi and the times of his writing. It is extremely hard to pinpoint the time but best we can tell the Jews had returned from captivity, Nehemiah and Ezra had led the nation in the revival of building God a temple. There had been much time that had passed because the worship of God had fallen again into utter devastation. It does not take man long to go from being close to God to being extremely afar from Him. What a word of warning to us today that tells us to draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to us.
