Let us muse this day from Zechariah 10:1-2 and the character of the King. The prophet up until now has been looking hundreds of years into the future he now comes back to his day. The people were continuing on with the building of the temple. There was a problem of no rain. The people never connected the dots that the withholding of rain was the with holding of God’s blessing. Rain in the Bible was always seen as a mark of God’s blessings. The reason why they didn’t see it was verse two tells us they had no Shepherd. A Shepherd was one who had great love for the people of his flock. In the church house, White House, and our house there is little concern for others.
