Let us muse today from Zechariah 6: 9-13 and the subject of a crown like none other. In this text many of the returning exiles bring gold and silver back from Babylon. Gold in the Bible speaks of deity and royalty. Silver speaks of redemption. The two were put together an a crown like none other ever made. The crown was placed on the head of Joshua the priest. There was no one in the Old Testament that wore both a King’s crown and the priest’s mitre. This one will be both king and priest. They will build Him a temple we are told in 6:15 which says they will come from afar to worship, give, and obey Him. This has to be yet future and speaks of one we know so well as our Redeemer King the Lord Jesus Christ.
