Remember Then

Let us muse today from Haggai 2:4-5 and a section I have entitled the call to remembrance. In our text today there is a call to remember then. It is here that Haggai calls on the younger generation to be strong. He reminds them of the early days when God dwelt in a tent. They had but one assurance and that was that the Lord was with them. This is the only confidence we can lean on today and it is that the Lord is with us. The phrase be strong means keep your chin up and press on and the only way we can do this is to be assured of the fact the Lord is with us.
