Let us begin today to look at Zephaniah chapter 3 and the day of the Lord and its effect on God’s remnant people. This last chapter is a message of hope. It is an amazing thing that many of the prophets ended their book with hope. John once said he that hath this hope of the coming of the Lord will keep himself pure. The message of hope by the prophet would keep God’s people faithful in their walk and pure in their lives. I’m glad hope in the New Testament is a noun and not a verb. It is a some one and not some thing we do. Paul said in first Timothy 1:1 ….God our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ which is our hope.
