The Helplessness Of Man

Let us muse today from Habakkuk 1: 14-15 in a section I have entitled the prophet’s anxiety. In the midst of the counsel for anxiety Habakkuk rest in three  great truths. One we have already pondered and it was the holiness of God. Today Habakkuk will shows us the helplessness of man. Habakkuk says when the Babylonians come in we will be like helpless fish to be hooked or netted. The false prophet said it would never happen but Habakkuk said not only will it happen but in verse 15 the enemy would take great pleasure in Israel’s fall. Oh how America thinks we can never be taken. Pride always goes before a fall.
