Let us in muse today from another point from Nahum’s thoughts I have entitled a prediction of a fall. In Nahum 1:7 while predicting the fall of Nineveh, he reminds the people that God is good. Nahum shows two things that marked the goodness of God. One is He is a stronghold, refuge, or hiding place in the time of trouble. The word trouble means a dark impassable place. I’m glad I have a place to hide where trouble cannot take the life out of me. Another mark of God’s goodness is He knows those who trust him. The word knoweth means the intimacy between a husband and a wife. It is also a knowledge that comes from one who has planned all things ahead of time. God is so good, God is so good, God is so good to me.
