The Promise For Jonah’s Cry

Let us muse today from Jonah 2: 6b, 7a, 9C, and the subject of the promise of Jonah’s cry. In verse 6b- 7a Jonah is going down, he is fainting, and then he remembered the Lord. The word Lord is the covenant keeping great I am. He realized at this time his prayer had arrived in the holy Temple of God. The other promise is in verse 9C of chapter 2 when Jonah said, salvation is of the Lord. Oh how many believe salvation comes through the decision of man, the choice of his free will or his coming to God, when Jonah clearly says it is of none of these, but salvation is of the Lord. I don’t want to get in the whale’s belly before I figured out that salvation is all of Him and none of me.
