The Perception Through Jonah’s Cry

Let us  muse today from Jonah 2: 4b-6 and the perception through Jonah’s cry. He has gone down into the depths and it has closed in over his head. He is wrapped in seaweed and he has reached the bottom of the earth and mountains. It is here he looked the Bible tells us in 2: 4B. The word look means to set the perception or fix it upon but one object. Jonah looks towards God’s holy Temple. This is the dwelling place of God. What better place to look than up when it seems we are going down. When all around my soul gives way He then is my only hope and stay.
