The Message Perception

Let us muse today from Jonah 1:2b and the message perception. When he was told the message he was cry of yet forty days and Nineveh would be destroyed, he left because he would rather see them go to hell. When he heard of their doom I can almost see him rejoiced over them falling into hell. I wonder how often we would rather see people go to hell than open our mouth and share the gospel. It seems like the thought of 1 million people going to hell with their clothes on should cause us to cry in warning to the masses, but how often we go through life and never say a word. I think of the Roman goddess of opportunity who on her front has a multitude of arms which when you’re facing her you could grab on to, but once you are on her side or in the back of her she is slick. Let us take every opportunity God gives to us to tell the old old story this day.
