Let us muse today from Jonah 1:1 and God speaks to Jonah. On six different occasions we find the phrase the word of the Lord came unto him. We see this phrase or a phrase in a fact similar that tells us that God speaks to his prophet. The phrases are in 1:1, 2:10, 3:1, and 4:9-10. I am surely glad that we have a God who speaks to us. He speaks to us through the Word of God and makes divine impressions upon our heart. How can we expect God to speak to us when we do not spend daily quality time in His Word. I know it may sound childish but the little song sure speaks to me when it says, The B I B L E,yes that’s the book for me I stand alone on the Word of God The B I B L E.
