God Will Restore Them

Let us muse today on an ending text from Amos 9:11-15 and a final affirmation from Amos. God says in our text I will restore. I know some do not believe in an earthly thousand year reign of Christ literally upon the earth. There sure is a good argument in this text for this believe. He says he will restore David’s dynasty. The people will be restored to their land. They will live in peace and rest. I see from the text they will never lose their land again. It sure seems like it would behoove us to keep our eyes on this little nation of Israel. All around them there is no friend ship for God’s people. It looks like they could go down, but be assured God will restore his people to their land again. What a way for the old fig picker to end his book by looking for the reign of the Lord and the restoration of David’s throne to Christ alone.
