Let us muse again today from the Amos 3: 11-15 and a section I am calling God’s call. In these verses there is a call to judgment. God tells us He will begin to bring this nation down because of their great fluency. In verse 15 we are told they have prospered and that they have both summer and winter homes. In verse 14 the northern kingdom has disobeyed God and set up altars of worship in the north instead of at Jerusalem. God has overlooked their love of possessions and self for a long time. The time to pay in judgment has come. I wonder when America’s worship of possessions and self demands a payment. I feared the bill is being delivered and the demand for payment is closer than we think.
